Feasibility Study, Detailed Design, Preparation of Tender Documents and Operations and Maintenance Manuals for Bus Park Facilities, Recreational Parks and Operations and Maintenance Manuals for Machakos Town under Cluster 1 towns
- Carry out feasibility studies on proposed facilities;
- Carry out detailed designs;
- Carry out inspection of all the proposed sites of the facilities and confirm their availability in consultation with Local Authorities;
- Recommend suitable measures to be adopted in the final designs;
- Carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and prepare the EIA Report according to the regulations of the National Environmental Management
- Authority (NEMA) for Kenya and the World Bank Guidelines. All proposed measures in the final design have to comply with the
- Regulations of NEMA concerning the protection of the environment. The Consultant shall facilitate the processing of the construction licenses from NEMA.
- Prepare draft and final design reports, including drawings and other details showing the proposed construction layouts and concrete works details;
- Prepare Engineer’s Cost estimates for the agreed works;
- Prepare draft and final tender documents based on World Bank guidelines; Prepare operations and maintenance manual of the facilities; and
- Prepare a Resettlement Action Plan in accordance with the World Bank Guidelines
- Mentor and train municipal engineers in the respective towns to acquire the necessary professional skills
