Consultancy services for feasibility study, Environmental Impact Assessment, Social Impact Assessment and preparation of Resettlement Action plan, preliminary and detailed design and preparation of tender documentation for the rehabilitation of the Malindi -Garsen – Hola Madogo section of Mombasa-Garissa (B8) road
- Carry out feasibility studies on proposed facilities;
- Carry out detailed designs;
- Carry out inspection of all the proposed sites of the facilities and confirm their availability in consultation with Local Authorities;
- Recommend suitable measures to be adopted in the final designs;
- Carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and prepare the EIA Report according to the regulations of the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) for Kenya and the World Bank Guidelines. All proposed measures in the final design have to comply with the
- Regulations of NEMA concerning the protection of the environment. The Consultant shall facilitate the processing of the construction licenses from NEMA.
- Prepare draft and final design reports, including drawings and other details showing the proposed construction layouts and concrete works details;
- Prepare Engineer’s Cost estimates for the agreed works;
- Prepare draft and final tender documents based on World Bank guidelines; Prepare operations and maintenance manual of the facilities; and
- Prepare a Resettlement Action Plan in accordance with the World Bank Guidelines
- Mentor and train municipal engineers in the respective towns to acquire the necessary professional skills
