Engineering studies, Detailed design and Construction supervision for improvement of water supply and sewerage disposal at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Moi International Airport (MIA) and Kisumu International Airport (KIA) and flood mitigation
- Carry out feasibility studies on proposed facilities;
- Â Carry out detailed designs;
- Recommend suitable measures to be adopted in the final designs;
- Carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and prepare the EIA Report according to the regulations of the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) for Kenya and the World Bank Guidelines. All proposed measures in the final design have to comply with the regulations of NEMA concerning the protection of the environment. The Consultant shall facilitate the processing of the construction licenses from NEMA.
- Prepare draft and final design reports, including drawings and other details showing the proposed construction layouts and concrete works details;
- Prepare Engineer’s Cost estimates for the agreed works;
- Prepare draft and final tender documents based on World bank guidelines;
- Prepare operations and maintenance manual of the facilities; and
- Mentor and train municipal engineers in the respective towns to acquire the necessary professional skills.
- Supervision and coordination of construction works including preparation of operation and maintenance manuals and as-built-drawings.
- Provide personnel and all other necessary resources to supervise the construction of the works throughout the assignment.
